City questions 25 mph speed limit on eastern PCH
City Manager Joe Irvin has asked Caltrans why the widely ignored 25 mph limit stays in effect, raising questions about upcoming speed cameras.

The city manager Monday night said he has asked Caltrans why it's keeping the 25 mile an hour speed limit in effect in eastern Malibu.
The 25 mile zone is widely ignored. It's not realistic, and with the speed radar cameras coming, there is a serious question about the legality of speed cameras in an area with improper speed limits.
Irvin says the state is reassessing the speed limit.
