The Walt Disney Co. is planning yet another extensive round of layoffs in the coming weeks. Maybe a thousand jobs will be cut, according to the Wall Street Journal.

Disney faces decreased box office sales, a death spiral in TV viewing, and smaller profits from its streaming services. Even Disneyland faces trouble, as foreign visitors are staying away from an unfriendly United States government.

Two days ago, Sony Pictures Entertainment said it planned to cut hundreds of its employees worldwide as it looked to restructure its business.
