One more day of very high tides are predicted for the Malibu coastline Tuesday morning. A 7.0-foot high tide is predicted for 10:45 a.m. The actual tide will probably come in around 8 feet 7 inches or so.
That's because of the Kelvin wave and other pressure on the ocean that's pushing it up against the North American plate.
The Coastal Flood Advisory from the National Weather Service continues one more day, but the tides should start backing off for the rest of the week.
More damage occurred Monday, but it looks like Malibu escaped the type of widespread damage that hit from Long Beach south into Orange County.
