Two overnight construction projects are shielding Pacific Coast Highway from ocean erosion in the eastern Malibu fire zone.

Thursday night, construction continued for coastal protection on Pacific Coast Highway in the eastern Malibu fire zone.
Two projects were underway Thursday night to protect the highway from erosion into the churning ocean. One was just east of Duke's restaurant; the other was a bit further east down the highway near the Big Rock traffic light.
