The other Malibu election Tuesday night was the Santa Monica school board.
It appears that three incumbents have comfortable margins, including the only Malibu resident on the Santa Monica board, Stacy Rouse. Alicia Mignano, Robbie Staenberg and Laurie Lieberman are all winning.
Harry Leshner is apparently knocked out of the race for Santa Monica school board.
And one candidate from the past in the Santa Monica-Malibu political scene was defeated soundly. Oscar de la Torre, a longtime member of the SMMUSD board, was trying to win election to the Santa Monica College board, which includes Malibu. He was the fifth place candidate in a race with four winners.
