SUV plunges off cliff into ocean near Point Mugu
State parks lifeguards and Ventura County paramedics rescued the driver from a vehicle rolling in three feet of surf.

The driver of a white SUV lost control and went over the edge of the road, down a cliff, and into the ocean.
The crash happened at about 6:30 just east of Point Mugu. State parks lifeguards and Ventura County paramedics found the vehicle crumpled up and rolling in the waves in three-foot-deep water.
They put the victim in a litter basket. A Ventura County Fire ladder truck was used to lift the victim about 40 feet up to the roadside.
No word on the extent of injuries. No word on what caused the crash.
