Deputies to close Topanga Canyon Boulevard at peak of windstorm
Highway 29 will be closed to all but Topanga residents from Grandview south to the beach during the strongest winds.

Lost Hills sheriff's deputies say they will close Topanga Canyon Boulevard — Highway 27 — to all traffic except Topanga Canyon residents. The closure will run northbound and southbound from Grandview south to the beach, the lowest three and a half miles, at the peak of the windstorm.
The sheriff's office apparently sees a fire danger there but not on other canyon roads, which will remain open. All other roads in the Malibu area are expected to stay open. The closure is unusual.
